The event aims to address current topics for businesses at both the global and local levels, brought about by the transformations in the post-pandemic years.

Kyle Cermak, Regional Director, Europe at Hogan Assessment Systems

Kyle Cermak, Regional Director, Europe at Hogan Assessment Systems, will explore themes such as the connection between personality and leadership, answering important questions like:

  • Are there leaders better suited for different business situations?
  • Is there a leadership formula that can guide organizations during times of crisis and volatility, especially as the complexity we face continues to grow?

Hart Consulting will present the findings of the study "The Nuances of Romanian Leadership: What sets us apart from leaders in other parts of the world? The 6 competencies of successful leaders."

Monica TariucMonica Tariuc, Global Employer Services Director at Deloitte, will present the Deloitte Study on HR Trends.

Following that, there will be a panel discussion on different topics, such as:

Kyle Cermak serves Hogan Assessments’ European distributors and their clients as regional director. He supports organizations by providing business development strategies to integrate personality insights into talent selection and talent development programs and initiatives. Prior to joining Hogan, Kyle served as senior territory manager for Smith & Nephew, a leading global pharmaceutical corporation. During his 20+ year career as a business development leader, Kyle has worked with clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies, major league sports franchises, Hollywood movie and television studios, tech start-ups, manufacturing organizations, and foodservice companies. His work has spanned a number of business development and organizational development roles, with a specialty in optimizing performance of plateaued business units.

Cristina Mancas is Vice President Human Resources at Schneider Electric South East Europe.

A graduate of the Academy of Economic Studies, with a Management degree, Cristina joined the Schneider Electric team seven years ago, in the position of HR Director for Romania. Her activity and results were noticed and determined, two years later, her promotion to a regional position. At Schneider Electric, Cristina brought 15 years of experience in the field of human resources, working in large companies in the banking and oil fields.

Cristina Mancas coordinates from Bucharest all the human resources activities for Schneider Electric's South East Europe region, from attracting talents and developing a positive work culture, to driving strategic initiatives aligned with the organization's goals.

Carmen Micu is Founder and Board Member of ENVISIA-Boards of Elite, the first Business School in Romania for Board Directors. She is a senior executive with over 25 years of experience in general management and in marketing & communication, having held local, regional, and global assignments, in companies such as Beiersdorf AG Hamburg, Wella AG and Omnicom Media Group, and covering an array of industries from FMCG to Pharma and Media & Advertising. Strong business development professional, Carmen holds three masters degrees and is an alumna from prestigious schools: Henley Business School, IESE Business School, Wharton University, Kellogg School of Management - Northwestern University, ASEBUSS, University Of Washington. She holds a certification in Hogan psychological evaluation and is a member of “Independent Directors’ Association” (AAI).

Since November 2020 Carmen is the Chair of the International Association for Sustainable Economy.

She has been a member of PWN Romania from its very inception in November 2011, has served as Board Vice-President Membership Experience PWN Romania for 6 years and has served for two years as Chair of the Global Nomination Committee Professional Women‘s Networks. She has been nominated PWN Global Member of the Year in 2019.

Monica Tariuc joined Deloitte Romania in 2008 and she is currently Director within the Global Employer Services practice. Her areas of expertise cover, amongst others, salary tax and social security contributions, international mobility of employees (EC Directives), remuneration and collaboration structures (design and implementation of stock-option plans, augmented workforce), application of tax incentives (IT, constructions). She was involved in various local and international consultancy projects, serving a significant number of clients and being a connoisseur of both the domestic and international legislation on tax and social security matters. She coordinates the Romanian streams on various global engagements handling all aspects concerning the mobile workforce of multinationals, both inbound and outbound population. Monica is a technology and people enthusiastic and was involved in the design and implementation of various solutions for cross-country tracking and reporting. She is part of various working groups focusing on legislative updates concerning individual taxation. Clients and colleagues recognize Monica for her technical knowledge, her ability to coordinate large accounts, her genuine interest for improving daily processes and nonetheless, her out-of-the-box thinking and innovative solutions.

Mircea Tiplea is a Partner in Amrop’s Bucharest office since 2016, working with clients for CXO search mandates across private equity, real estate, FMCG, energy and financial services industries.

Before joining Amrop, Mircea spent 17 years in management positions. He was CFO for Coca-Cola Hellenic, then moved as CFO and CEO in a Private Equity environment before becoming a leadership consultant at Amrop. He also works extensively on delivering strategy, change management and team effectiveness workshops. The focus of his recent work has been on assisting clients to develop CEO transition strategies from an entrepreneurial environment to a professional organization and in building the right governance to achieve success.

He has built in-depth expertise in strategy, finance, business transformation, leadership development and team effectiveness.

Mircea sits on boards of advisors and is lecturing Change Management at BiSM ExecutiveMBA in Bucharest.

Corneliu Bodea is a shareholder of the international ABBC Group and CEO of Adrem. A brand with 30 years of history on the Romanian market, Adrem consists of three companies active in the energy industry – Adrem Invest, Adrem Engineering, Adrem link. Corneliu extended his engineering education with management studies and an MBA from the Open University, UK, and most recently with the Board Director’s Programme at Henley Business School.

Since 2014, Corneliu Bodea was elected President of the Romanian Energy Center (CRE), a non-governmental organization which activates in the energy industry, effective both in Romania and Brussels. CRE represents the interests of the main stakeholders on the Romanian energy market and facilitates communication with their corresponding European interlocutors, while also providing a European platform for dialogue for the energy industry.

With significant experience in the energy industry, in managing complex projects and over 1000 employees, Corneliu is very committed to contributing to all initiatives that foster the Romanian entrepreneurial environment and to actively supporting economic, ecological, and social sustainability, through his involvement in the projects carried out by CONAF, where he is a board member, Leaders Foundation, Romanian Business Leaders and ReThink Romania organizations. He believes it is our responsibility, as companies and individuals, to engage in activities without exhausting the available resources and affecting the environment, thus ensuring that the needs of future generations are being met.
